Huawei Announced Mid-Range P8 Lite (2017)
Huawei has announced a new mid-range smartphone P8 Lite (2017), a successor of Huawei P8 Lite, which was released in 2015. This is quite a strange name adopted by Huawei for this budget smartphone, as it can easily be named as the successor of P9 Lite. Nevertheless, this device brings quite a few hardware improvements and a change in design than its predecessor.
Design:
The Huawei P8 Lite (2017) features a decent design, as the device comes in a glass body which is quite similar to the one we have seen on the Honor 8. Specs-wise, the P8 lite (2017) looks a very decent mid-range smartphone. The device will be shipped with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system on board, including Huawei EMUI 5.0 on top of it. The P8 lite (2017) also got a major improvement in display screen as it sports a 5.2-inch IPS display screen which supports full HD (1080p) resolution.
The hardware also got major improvements as the device is packed with Huawei’s Kirin 655 chipset inside (similar to other mid-range Huawei smartphone Honor 6X) along with a Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. The Octa-core processor is paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which is a quite disappointed but it has the facility of expandable storage in form of microSD.

This mid-range smartphone features a single lens 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. A LED flash is available too, along with a fingerprint sensor both positioned on the back side. The 8-megapixel front facing shooter is likely to take state-of-the-art selfie pictures and the device is packed with improved 3,000mAh non-removable battery.

The P8 Lite (2017) will priced at €240 and initially available in black color only, but after few weeks, you’ll also be able to get the device in white or gold color as well. This latest budget smartphone will be available soon in select European markets, as the sales are expected to start at the end of January. The availability of this smartphone in other regions will be declared soon, as the device is expected to make its way to other markets in coming months.
