According to some reports, Samsung Electronics is working on Full Screen OLED Display for upcoming Galaxy S8. After the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, Samsung is all focused to regain the customer’s trust through its next flagship device Galaxy S8. We are continuously receiving leaks and rumors about Galaxy S8, but the latest one is quite exciting and a step towards future phone design & display.
OLED Display:
Galaxy S8, rumored to be unveiled in first quarter of next year, will see huge changes in design and display. According to Park Won-sang, a Samsung Principal Engineer in Display Units, said during the International Meeting on Information Display (iMiD), held last week in Seoul, Samsung is working to achieve 90% screen to body area in next year phones. However, Park has not disclosed any details regarding the Galaxy S8 design. If Samsung is working to achieve 90% display area, then we will probably see a Samsung smartphone without conventional Home Button. The current running Flagship phone S7 and S7 Edge have 72% and 76% display area respectively.
He further added that Samsung is willing to make a full screen display phone at surprising 99% screen to body ratio in next few years. To achieve this stunning full screen display phone, all sensors should be needed to embed beneath the screen, because there will be screen only on the front view of phone.

Recently, Chinese Manufacturer Xiaomi has revealed Mi Mix, a smartphone having mind-blowing 91% screen to body ratio. This is surely the way forward for smartphones.
This news is not confirmed by Samsung officials, so these are still rumors. But any such innovation will be highly rated by fans. As Samsung is going to unveil the best smartphone next year.
