Huawei has released Android 7.0 Nougat update to flagship P9 and Mate 8 devices in China. Recently, a list of Huawei devices has been leaked, which are likely to get the all exciting Nougat Update in early 2017, but it looks like the Chinese manufacturer released the Nougat Update earlier than expected for its flagship devices. It was reported from China that the P9 and Mate 8 users are getting final build Nougat updates.
Android 7.0 Nougat Update:
Huawei’s Nougat Update plan was recently leaked and it shows the list of devices which will get Nougat update early next year. This plan includes the most profitable Huawei smartphone P9 and the phablet Mate 8. Instead of releasing Nougat Update next year, Huawei has officially rolled out the latest Android update in home country China for P9 and Mate 8.
We already seen a few glimpses of Nougat in Huawei Mate 9 and it looks sensational with the combination of Emotion UI 5.0. Huawei has finally provided a more Android touch in its devices by introducing built in App drawer option in Nougat.
However, if you're located in China, you want to look for firmware version B352 if you own the Huawei P9, and firmware version B552 in case you're having a Mate 8. As described earlier, this Nougat Update is final build and not a beta update, which was released earlier for some devices for testing purposes.
The P9 and Mate 8 owners outside China are not likely to get Nougat Update this year and will have to wait till early 2017 to enjoy the advantages of the new Nougat update.
