Samsung Expands Galaxy AI and Bixby Language Support
Expanding Galaxy AI
Samsung has announced a significant expansion of language support for its Galaxy AI suite. Core tools, including Call Assist, Note Assist, Interpreter, and Transcript Assist, now support Hungarian and Malay. This move aims to make AI-driven translation and summarization more accessible to a wider global audience.
Live Translate and Now Nudge
The Live Translate feature now supports a total of 24 languages. Additionally, the Now Nudge feature, which suggests actions based on on-screen content, has added eight new languages: Dutch, Filipino, Gujarati, Hungarian, Malay, Romanian, Swedish, and Turkish, also bringing its total to 24.
Bixby Becomes a Device Agent
Bixby is evolving into a more capable device agent, allowing users to manage settings through natural conversation. Samsung has added Polish, Thai, and Vietnamese to Bixby's repertoire, bringing the total number of supported languages to 12.
Rollout and Requirements
Bixby updates were rolled out automatically on October 14, 2026. Galaxy AI updates will arrive in the coming weeks, with some features available via language packs in the Settings app. Users should note that Bixby requires a Samsung Account and a stable data connection to function.
